About Us
Let me share a little bit about my kennel and my involvement as a breeder of Shiloh Shepherds.
You see … TiAmo Desert Mountain ISSR Shilohs is not just a kennel, but rather it really is a “Love Story”.
"A Love Story"
When the human love of my life, my husband Tony, left this world, I had such an empty place in my heart and in my life and I truly believe God sent a very special puppy “messenger” to me by way of New Zion ISSR Shilohs (the kennel of Tina Barber who is the true founder of the genuine Shiloh Shepherd and her daughter, Lisa Barber). I believe God sent my sweet puppy to help to fill that lonely space and to help heal the deep hurt of missing that was there, too.
I’ve always had dogs as a part of my family and I have loved each and every one. This time I carefully searched and researched looking for that very special puppy that was meant to be mine and then my first Shiloh Shepherd was sent to live and love with me. I named him TiAmo TNT Guardiano di Zion. TiAmo means I love you in Italian. TNT is power and TiAmo brought a powerful influence in my life and on my heart. TNT is also a private message of “forever” love between Tony and me. Guardiano di Zion means I feel this puppy was truly meant to be a guardian of the goodness of Zion and of this magnificent developing breed. TiAmo has done his job so well! |
This love story continued with the blessing of being asked by Tina and Lisa if I would give their very special retiring breeding female a forever home here with me. Of course I would and Trilliums Red Hot Mustang Zion, my beautiful Tang, came here to be loved by and to give her love me. Tang was five years old when she became part of my family and it truly seems as if she has always been here with me. While she can really mean “business” if she feels her family is threatened, she is pure love underneath. Tang completed her first job by giving birth to very special puppies that carry on the legacies of this unique breed and now she continues her work as a much beloved and very loving “Princess” here with me.
This love story continued when I was asked if I would consider giving a home to another special boy.
Of course I would and that is when my “rescue” Bellegrace Shultz O Roxy’s Lair came to live with me. He arrived in AZ just in time for Valentines Day and so I renamed him “Valentino” and he is now my very special Tino. Tino is a beautiful and very precious boy who unfortunately started his life as a baby in what turned out to be the wrong home for him. My Tino’s early sad life experiences have left him a dog that really learned not to trust people at all, but he really is just a sweet, loving and very protective BIG puppy with me. Tino will always need special understanding, but he has already come such a long way from a very bad beginning in his life to his loving and “forever” home here with me.
This love story continues as I am currently waiting for more additions to our family and when that next puppy or puppies that are meant just to be mine come into this world, a “forever home” is waiting and they, too, will become a loving and much loved part of our “growing” family.
I believe true love has no end and you may believe me when I tell you that ...
This “Love Story” is not over; it is just beginning ...
